- Viewing moving images while driving is prohibited by the legislator or liability insurance in many countries. The TV activation is intended to enable only the front passenger and other vehicle occupants to use the TV and DVD functions while driving. Our TV activation only prevents the screen from turning black once the vehicle is in motion. Our TV activation does not activate any video sources, the video sources must already be present (for example, a DVD player or similar) and must be usable while stationary - Not suitable for vehicles with MBUX multimedia system NTG7 (Code E7M) or MBUX multimedia system High (Code E7H)

Sensationelles Produkt
Das Produkt funktioniert einfach super! Das Ein-/Ausschalten funktioniert über die Bluetooth-App (Android) zuverlässig und in der App besteht sogar die Möglichkeit, das BT-Interface auszuschalten und/oder für den Zugriff eine PIN-Nummer zu vergeben (damit könnte man die Funktion dauerhaft de-aktivieren, das Modul "unsichtbar machen" und vor weiterem Zugriff schützen, z.B. wenn man das Auto verkaufen und die 2.5 Stunden zum Ausbau nicht investieren möchte). Entgegen der Bedienungsanleitung kann die Funktion zwar nicht über die Mute-Taste am MFL gesteuert werden. Da es dafür aber die APP gibt kann man mit diesem Umstand ganz gut leben finde ich ;) Bzgl. der Video-Formate habe ich bisher nur MP4-Dateien verwendet (H264 codiert mit MP3 Stereo@128 kBit/s bei 48 kHz Abtastrate) und damit exzellente Resultate erzielt (die Video-Dateien kann man z.B. von gekauften DVDs unter Anwendung des "VLC"-Players erzeugt, was laut einhelliger Meinung in diversen Foren unter private Sicherheitskopie fallen und somit rechtlich erlaubt sein sollte). Die einzige kleine Einschränkung dabei ist, dass das MBUX leider immer nur die erste Audio-Spur der Video-Datei abspielt. Zumindest habe ich keine Möglichkeit gefunden, die Wiedergabesprache umzustellen und auch der Händler wusste leider keinen Rat - falls das mit der Reihenfolge beim Erzeugen des Videos mal nicht klappen sollte, dann kann man die Reihenfolge der Audio-Spuren ganz einfach (und relativ schnell) mit dem zusätzlichen Tool "ffmpeg" entsprechend hin sortieren. ...meine ursprüngliche Hoffnung, dass das MBUX ggf. vielleicht doch ein über USB-SATA-Adapter angeschlossenes DVD-Laufwerk erkennen würde und darin eingelegte DVD-Filme abspielen könnte hat sich leider doch nicht bestätigt.
