- Only suitable for vehicles with ACC, PR-No.: 6K3, 6K4, 8T8
- Only suitable for vehicles from year 2020
- For vehicles with ACC via FOD (PR-No.: 3V7), ACC must be enabled
- ** At the moment, the respective control unit must be unlocked for a limited time before using the dongle. This must be done by a workshop with valid GEKO access
- If you are unable to perform the commissioning yourself, or if it is an SFD2 vehicle (More information can be found here) for which commissioning is mandatory, we offer an optional one-time remote commissioning service. Worked perfectly!
It took me a good while to find something to fix one of my worst nightmares driving my car: Using my adaptive cruise control. This thing spooks me harder than all Halloween's nights together! Braking like mad for nothing at all, reducing speed based on the wrong traffic signs. When searching the internet I found a lot of video's speaking about changing from ACC to CC, showing an option that I just didn't had, ACC and Limiter.
After being in touch with the support to double check compatibility and so on, they advised this dongle which I found rather interesting because I did not want to have anything which required me to code as I don't want to break my car. Very simple steps to take. Make sure to be up to date, open the hood of the car, turn it on and wait for 30 seconds, plugin the device and wait a short while to do its thing. Its a little pitty that the LEDS are on the "wrong" side, as you cannot easily see the status leds. I used my selfy function on my smartphone to make it easier. Took a few seconds only to load, took it out and turned off the car for 10 minutes.
Did a test drive and I almost cried out of joy! Besides to two options I had, ACC & limiter I now have ACC, CC and limiter. Worked perfectly, it turns on cruise control without reducing speeds based on the car before!
Make sure to have a cable MINI USB to USB, because its not shipped with this cable, its required to perform the software update.
